Z AI (formerly Zhipu AI) offers the GLM model series, with hybrid reasoning and agentic capabilities for reasoning, coding, and agent applications.

Get an API key

International

1. Go to z.ai/model-api and sign up or sign in.

2. Open the API key management page in the console.

3. Create a new API key.

4. Copy the key immediately and store it securely.

Mainland China

1. Go to the Zhipu Open Platform and sign up or sign in.

2. Find API key management in the console.

3. Create a new API key.

4. Copy the key immediately and store it securely.

Pricing differs between the two regions. Check the prices published on each platform.

Configure Dline

See Model configuration for the general flow.

1. Click the Settings button in the Dline panel title bar.

2. Set Provider to Z AI.

3. Under Z AI Entrypoint, choose the entrypoint for your region:

   • api.z.ai: international
   • open.bigmodel.cn: mainland China

4. Paste the key into the Z AI API Key field.

5. Select a model under Model.

GLM Coding Plan

Z AI offers subscription plans for coding, billed by prompts rather than traditional API usage.

1. Go to z.ai/subscribe and choose a plan.

2. After subscribing, sign in to the Z AI console and create an API key for the plan.

3. In Dline, select Z AI and paste the key into the Z AI API Key field.

The entrypoint determines where requests are sent. Choose the entrypoint that matches the platform your key belongs to.
